I must admit that it’s hard not getting a big head when you have a website named after you. But we all know that any schmuck can dish out $36.00 a year and launch their own website — no matter what trade or craft they’ve declared for themselves. And there’s a LOT of them. …Hopefully this is not the case for me.
You may notice that I’ve combined my blog (previously: http://brandondraws.blogspot.com) with the site. This way we’re not jumping between two sites when we really don’t have to. Ahh, consolidation. Breathe it in; drink it down like a fine ..sparkling wine…(I haven’t found a wine I like yet — but you may drink whatever fancies you).
So yes, please feel free to browse and comment throughout. See my progress on projects as I’ll be adding new work. Each page isn’t 100% filled up so please stay tuned as I add pieces to the Portfolio section which contains finished work I’ve done for clients or for myself.
I will also be adding to my Sketchbook this week which contain what I believe to be key sketches or even rough paintings to simple doodles that have helped me grow and learn as an artist. And of course the blog, which I have received numerous critiques from visitors that it isn’t updated enough!
Well shoot, I hear ya, man. I don’t disagree. So I will try to formulate some sort of plan to maybe create a practice session for myself each week where I learn a new technique or just sketch what’s on my mind lately. I know I’m not the best illustrator in the world, nor am I really aiming for such altruism. Although it would be nice, wouldn’t it? But the purpose of the blog is helping me grow, helping you grow, and just learning new stuff. I do take pride in what I do, and very seriously, but still know how to have fun with it and make each new work better than what I’ve acheieved before. So please please PLEASE send your feedback. It’s sincerely appreciated.
